Thoughts from Lockdown

At the beginning of this year I spent many hours applying for lots of craft fairs, some more successfully than others. I’m sure you realise how demoralising rejection feels! Then LOCKDOWN stopped all!

Now the point of my Blog. What was I thinking?! I realised in lockdown, with all the time to spare for thought, that I had been over reaching myself. I also help my partner run a (usually) very busy business moving canal boats around the waterways for boat owners and boat brokers. There was no way I could have attended so many craft fairs and make more stock as it sold! I also keep a couple of galleries well stocked.

So, all that time for thought and introspection, led me to realising that, at the age of 64, perhaps I need to be kinder to myself. I’m now mainly attending the local market in Forest Row, one Saturday at the beginning of each month.

My mind is always full of new design ideas but there’s no rush is there?
Do you find you put too much pressure on yourself?
