‘Raspberry Ice’ Rhodochrosite necklace.
A simple necklace concentrating on the lovely pink of top quality Rhodochrosite. Interspersed with Tourmalated Quartz, rectangles of Onyx and a Rhodonite 30mm figure of eight pendant. Threaded by hand to 18″ onto a simple silver t-bar clasp.
Rhodochrosite of quality, has a lovely opaque raspberry pink colour often with zigzags of white calcite running through the gemstone. Found in many places, Peru, Poland, Canada, USA and Argentina since the 1930’s, it’s become more popular since the 1940’s. The name comes from the Greek ‘Rhodon’ meaning Rose and ‘Chromo’ meaning colour.
