Here’s your “little black number” necklace to go with that black dress.
The bottom row are Obsidian 15x18mm rectangles, with faceted Onyx spacer beads. A second row with Onyx and peacock grey 6mm Freshwater Pearls. These are joined into 2 banded Onyx ovals to make a single row of Onyx and Freshwater Pearls around the back, onto a silver T-bar clasp. All threaded by hand on beading wire, lengths are 21″ and 22″.
Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass. This is from a particular Lava, felsic lava, which has a high silica content. Coupled with rapid cooling, this results in forming a glass.
