Blue Lapis Lazuli Necklace “Empire Blue”.
This is a chance to buy a beautiful Lapis Lazuli necklace, called Empire Blue, because it is of especially good quality. The 16mm squares have been well cut and polished. An indication of top quality, is the presence of pyrite or fool’s gold, mottled within the stone.
The necklace is 18″ in length and threaded by hand onto a gold vermeuil hook clasp.
Lapis Lazuli mainly comes from Afghanistan. The country has so many problems, it’s difficult to mine and export the rough mineral, it is therefore becoming rare.
