BRADFORD on AVON
This is a big event. Lots of fun and handmade gifts to buy.
There will be many boat traders set up on their boats or stalls in the Tithe Barn, carol singers and a buskers corner.
Do come and join us. We’re slowly making our way along the Kennet and Avon.

What a wonderful bank holiday weekend trading in Newbury! Lots of people and sunshine made a busy three days. I met other traders, made new friends and had fun chatting to all my lovely customers.
I sold a lot of pieces, so I’ll need to work hard now for Christmas and moor up somewhere quiet.

Beautiful skies and countryside. We’re making our way down the Kennet and Avon.
Last weekend I was open in Kintbury in the very high temperatures. It’s always a pleasure to talk to so many different people.
Now I have a couple of busy weekends in my home town so I won’t be open. You can always contact me by email or buy from my site.
Our next weekend trading will be the 8th and 9th of July. Probably in Great Bedwyn instead of Hungerford as mooring times were too restricted there.
We’ve started the spring with the most lovely sunny days and in many areas very warm too.
If you fancy a treat there are some necklaces on Sale from my site. This is one example below
A 24″ necklace with a 2″ loop end instead of a clasp, making the length adjustable, using blue and bright green gemstones.
I shall be open this Easter weekend if the weather behaves itself. So join the walkers and cyclists along the towpath by Hackney Marshes and see if you can grab a bargain from my boat shop.
1st and 2nd April Saturday and Sunday we will be trading on the moorings at ‘Here East’, Hackney Wick. On the Lee towards the Olympic Park. 10ish to 5ish. There are lots of goodies on display to choose from, I look forward to seeing you.
We took a little cycle ride today to check for moorings to move to and found a trade mooring spare. Unfortunately we also had to sample the lovely home brewed beers at The Crate Brewery. A little treat for you too after visiting us.
Here’s just one of the new pieces of stock made during the winter. A mookaite leaf necklace.
We’ve been on a winter mooring since November reducing the need to move in bad weather. The time has been spent making new stock, walking or cycling this lovely area, The Lee Valley and visiting family and friends.
We’ll be off again on our travels at the end of February, braving the river Thames and then the Kennet and Avon.
The display all lit for evening trading!
Friday 2nd December Ware
I will be trading from 6-10pm down on the canal. Do pay us a visit and share a cup of mulled wine to warm you.
This elegant pair of Garnet triple drop earings are available for £32 inc postage. For more information visit; Earrings. Ref 349Gnt.
Meanwhile we have had a beautiful autumn with all the colours and bright days. It’s lovely coming back to a warm fire inside.
I shall next be open on Friday December 2nd in Ware near the road bridge for their Dickensian evening. 6 to 10pm. The boat and display will be lit up to join the festivities.
This is a Jasper necklace which I’ve made especially for a winter exhibition in Parndon Mill Gallery.
I still keep busy in the winter making stock and trading from the boat if the weather is good. However you can also find my jewellery at the following places:
1st November to 23rd December…Parndon Mill Gallery, Harlow CM20 2HP. ‘Present Arts’ Christmas exhibition.
Sunday 6th November….Puckeridge WI Christmas Fair 11-3pm at the community centre.
Friday 2nd December….Ware (we’ll be down on the canal) for the Dickensian evening.
Other galleries that have my jewellery all year round…
The Design Gallery, Westerham, Surrey.
Jam Gallery, Arundel, West Sussex.
AD Designs, Kettering, Northants.
I’m pleased we have managed to get a winter mooring at Dobbs Weir, Herts. That gives us a base so we don’t have to move every 2 weeks.
This also means we will be trading during the winter, weather permitting, between Ware and Cheshunt on the river Lee. I also hope to set up a stall in some Christmas events.
