Life after The Christmas Market

IMG_20171205_230056

Here’s my boat shop all lit up for the Christmas market in Bradford in Avon on 2nd and 3rd of December. We had a good weekend, thank you to everyone that came. There were lots of lovely goodies being sold from 12 boats and stalls. Of the pieces I sold, one was a delicate rose quartz teardrop and garnet necklace with a matching bracelet. Hopefully to a very happy recipient!

That was my last trading for the winter. Easter is at the end of March when I will open again. I’ll keep you posted where I’m going to be, probably somewhere near Reading.

Meanwhile I will be updating my website with some new pieces. Don’t forget you can also keep up with our boating life and new pieces on Facebook.

Only 2 weeks left before the Christmas Market.

Well with only 2 weeks to go, I think I’ve made enough new pieces to give you all lots of choice. I’ve been using most of my spare time in the last 2 months, designing and making.

We were moored on the outskirts of Bath for the last 2 weeks, which was lovely. Siteseeing and trying to avoid the temptation of all the fabulous shops!

Hope to see lots of you the weekend of 2nd and 3rd December in Bradford on Avon. We will be decorating the boat and lighting it up at night.

2nd and 3rd DECEMBER 2017

BRADFORD on AVON

This is a big event. Lots of fun and handmade gifts to buy.

There will be many boat traders set up on their boats or stalls in the Tithe Barn, carol singers and a buskers corner.

Do come and join us. We’re slowly making our way along the Kennet and Avon.

The Kennet and Avon….

Beautiful skies and countryside. We’re making our way down the Kennet and Avon.

Last weekend I was open in Kintbury in the very high temperatures. It’s always a pleasure to talk to so many different people.

Now I have a couple of busy weekends in my home town so I won’t be open. You can always contact me by email or buy from my site.

Our next weekend trading will be the 8th and 9th of July. Probably in Great Bedwyn instead of Hungerford as mooring times were too restricted there.

The Sun is Out.

We’ve started the spring with the most lovely sunny days and in many areas very warm too.

If you fancy a treat there are some necklaces on Sale from my site. This is one example below

Kyanite, Apatite and Freshwater Pearl Lariat Loop Necklace
A 24″ necklace with a 2″ loop end instead of a clasp, making the length adjustable, using blue and bright green gemstones.

I shall be open this Easter weekend if the weather behaves itself. So join the walkers and cyclists along the towpath by Hackney Marshes and see if you can grab a bargain from my boat shop.

1st and 2nd AprilĀ Saturday and Sunday we will be trading on the moorings at ‘Here East’, Hackney Wick. On the Lee towards the Olympic Park. 10ish to 5ish. There are lots of goodies on display to choose from, I look forward to seeing you.

We took a little cycle ride today to check for moorings to move to and found a trade mooring spare. Unfortunately we also had to sample the lovely home brewed beers at The Crate Brewery. A little treat for you too after visiting us.

Our Next Trading Place…Update

389

We are at the London end of The Lee Navigation once again.

Change of place…..We can next be found trading for Mothers Day weekend 25th and 26th March at Walthamstow Marshes as we’ve found a good mooring space.

Our plan after this, is to enter The Thames from Limehouse Basin to explore the delights The Thames has to offer towards Oxford for 4 weeks. I can’t trade on The Thames so don’t miss my last trading point.

Here’s just one of the new pieces of stock made during the winter. A mookaite leaf necklace.

We’ve been on a winter mooring since November reducing the need to move in bad weather. The time has been spent making new stock, walking or cycling this lovely area, The Lee Valley and visiting family and friends.

We’ll be off again on our travels at the end of February, braving the river Thames and then the Kennet and Avon.
