After such a good floating market in Newbury we are travelling to Bradford on Avon for the Christmas Market on December 2nd and 3rd. Several locks on route are being closed for maintenance and water levels have been very low, leading to restrictions on lock opening times. We are in Pewsey at the moment where I’m making more new pieces.
I’ll let you know where my boat shop will be open next. Meantime I can make and post anything on my website. This is a new Amethyst, pearl and faceted haematite two row bracelet with a silver clasp. £35 inc post.
Trip to the Jewellery Trade Show in London Olympia.
I got the glad rags out yesterday and caught the train in to London. That involved a cycle ride down a wet towpath and a quick change from chrysalis to butterfly in the station Ladies toilet!
It’s a bit of a shock to be amongst the hustle and bustle of London after the quiet of boat life!
This is a small selection of the new stock to make more lovely pieces for Christmas. I also have some new pendants and silver beads. The money never goes far when I look at the small collection of bags in my carrier bag!
What a fantastic event. There were lots of boats selling anything from ice cream to handmade copper and brass sculptures. A real festival atmosphere was created by everyone, helped with a buskers tent, a bubble fairy blowing giant bubbles, face painting and hula hoop lessons!
We have now turned back on ourselves and are making our way back to Newbury for their floating market over the bank holiday weekend.
1st and 2nd April Saturday and Sunday we will be trading on the moorings at ‘Here East’, Hackney Wick. On the Lee towards the Olympic Park. 10ish to 5ish. There are lots of goodies on display to choose from, I look forward to seeing you.
We took a little cycle ride today to check for moorings to move to and found a trade mooring spare. Unfortunately we also had to sample the lovely home brewed beers at The Crate Brewery. A little treat for you too after visiting us.
