Here’s my boat shop all lit up for the Christmas market in Bradford in Avon on 2nd and 3rd of December. We had a good weekend, thank you to everyone that came. There were lots of lovely goodies being sold from 12 boats and stalls. Of the pieces I sold, one was a delicate rose quartz teardrop and garnet necklace with a matching bracelet. Hopefully to a very happy recipient!
That was my last trading for the winter. Easter is at the end of March when I will open again. I’ll keep you posted where I’m going to be, probably somewhere near Reading.
Meanwhile I will be updating my website with some new pieces. Don’t forget you can also keep up with our boating life and new pieces on Facebook.
Well with only 2 weeks to go, I think I’ve made enough new pieces to give you all lots of choice. I’ve been using most of my spare time in the last 2 months, designing and making.
We were moored on the outskirts of Bath for the last 2 weeks, which was lovely. Siteseeing and trying to avoid the temptation of all the fabulous shops!
Hope to see lots of you the weekend of 2nd and 3rd December in Bradford on Avon. We will be decorating the boat and lighting it up at night.
2nd and 3rd DECEMBER 2017
BRADFORD on AVON
This is a big event. Lots of fun and handmade gifts to buy.
There will be many boat traders set up on their boats or stalls in the Tithe Barn, carol singers and a buskers corner.
Do come and join us. We’re slowly making our way along the Kennet and Avon.
After such a good floating market in Newbury we are travelling to Bradford on Avon for the Christmas Market on December 2nd and 3rd. Several locks on route are being closed for maintenance and water levels have been very low, leading to restrictions on lock opening times. We are in Pewsey at the moment where I’m making more new pieces.
I’ll let you know where my boat shop will be open next. Meantime I can make and post anything on my website. This is a new Amethyst, pearl and faceted haematite two row bracelet with a silver clasp. £35 inc post.
Trip to the Jewellery Trade Show in London Olympia.
I got the glad rags out yesterday and caught the train in to London. That involved a cycle ride down a wet towpath and a quick change from chrysalis to butterfly in the station Ladies toilet!
It’s a bit of a shock to be amongst the hustle and bustle of London after the quiet of boat life!
This is a small selection of the new stock to make more lovely pieces for Christmas. I also have some new pendants and silver beads. The money never goes far when I look at the small collection of bags in my carrier bag!
See you all soon!

What a wonderful bank holiday weekend trading in Newbury! Lots of people and sunshine made a busy three days. I met other traders, made new friends and had fun chatting to all my lovely customers.
I sold a lot of pieces, so I’ll need to work hard now for Christmas and moor up somewhere quiet. Continue reading Newbury Floating Market
We fought through rain, thunder, hail and 3 faulty locks out of 8 today. Arrived in Hungerford this afternoon.
We will be open tomorrow Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August, 11-5pm.
What a fantastic event. There were lots of boats selling anything from ice cream to handmade copper and brass sculptures. A real festival atmosphere was created by everyone, helped with a buskers tent, a bubble fairy blowing giant bubbles, face painting and hula hoop lessons!
We have now turned back on ourselves and are making our way back to Newbury for their floating market over the bank holiday weekend.
22nd and 23rd July We hope to be trading in Devizes outside The Black Horse pub
I’ve been offered a cancellation place at this fantastic summer market on 29th and 30th July
It does mean first negotiating the Caen Hill flight of 28 locks though!
Beautiful skies and countryside. We’re making our way down the Kennet and Avon.
Last weekend I was open in Kintbury in the very high temperatures. It’s always a pleasure to talk to so many different people.
Now I have a couple of busy weekends in my home town so I won’t be open. You can always contact me by email or buy from my site.
Our next weekend trading will be the 8th and 9th of July. Probably in Great Bedwyn instead of Hungerford as mooring times were too restricted there.
